A Tarboro man has been charged after deputies say he hit a man over the head with a beer bottle after he found him with his mother.
Kendrick Draughn, 23, was arrested Wednesday by Pitt County deputies.
Deputies say back on March 25th they responded to a home on Wrench Circle outside of Greenville. Karen Mabry told them that Draughn, who is her son, had found Alton Taylor with her at the home and became angry.
Deputies say Draughn hit Taylor with the beer bottle and punched him in the face. The 51-year-old Taylor was taken to Vidant Medical Center for minor injuries.
The 23-year-old Draughn is in jail on a $25,000 bond.
