Donating to Goodwill not only helps out those in need, but you can write off those donations when you file your taxes.
The Goodwill donation center in New Bern says they will be taking donations up until 6:00 p.m. on New Years Eve to make sure you can add your write off to this years taxes.
Goodwill says this is their busiest time, right before the new year.
Becky Lytle with Goodwill says they take almost anything as long as its in good shape.
Some Goodwill stores in our state take in close to one million dollars a year.
