Long Lines As Scissor Lift Turkeys Given Away

Hundreds of people showed up this morning for free turkeys collected during last week's scissor lift drive by Winterville man.

Austin Pendergraft spent two days in the scissor lift until 300 turkeys and 300 blankets were donated.

Operation High Hopes this morning distributed some 3,000 pounds of turkeys to needy Pitt County families. Some of those families started lining up at 5:00 a.m.
