Locked Up For A Good Cause

It's not everyday you get a call and the person on the other end, says they're locked up. But that's the call many local leaders, community members and local law enforcement made Wednesday.

The Muscular Dystropy Association's annual lockup asks business and community leaders to agree to be "put behind bars for good," and raise "bail" for the MDA.

James Johnson from Vidant Medical Center in Greenville was locked up at the City Hotel and Bistro and says being an MDA jailbird, wasn't all that bad. Johnson says, "It's fun. Anytime you can get community members to come together and raise some money. Although it is jail, it's pretty laid back. It's a lot of fun."

All funds raised by the MDA lock-up assist the association in providing lifesaving research, a nationwide network of medical clinics and accessible summer camp experiences.
