Lenoir County deputies said they found their missing man early Tuesday morning.
At 11 p.m. Monday, deputies were asking for the public's help to find 72-year-old James Ferguson. The missing man was said to have medical problems and missed taking his medication.
By 12:30 Tuesday morning, deputies said Ferguson was found safe near the Highway 70/Highway 11 area of Kinston by police who were on the lookout for him.
Investigators said Ferguson was safe, unharmed, and will be returned to his family.
No further details were released about the initial disappearance.
The Lenoir County Sheriff's Office needs your help finding a missing person. Lenoir County Emergency Management, Deep Run Fire Department and Southwood Fire Department were on scene with deputies conducting a search in Deep Run late Monday night.
Deputies say 72-year-old James Ferguson is missing. He's described as 6'4", 250 pounds with white or gray hair and was last seen wearing a brown shirt and hiking boots.
Deputies say Ferguson has medical problems and has not had medication since Monday morning. Ferguson has not been reported as dangerous. Ferguson was last seen on P.A. Nobles Store Road in Deep Run near Hwy. 258 South.
