La Grange Man's Case Delayed Again In Fatal Tractor-Trailer Wreck

There has been another delay in the case of a driver who troopers say caused a tractor-trailer to swerve, hitting a pregnant mother and her toddler.

Troopers say Fred Green of La Grange pulled in front of a tractor-trailer on Highway 70 in front of BJ's Grill. Investigators say the tractor-trailer swerved to avoid Green's truck, and then hit 22-year-old Tiffany Smith and her toddler who were getting into their car in the parking lot. Smith and her unborn child died, while her son survived.

Green is facing a charge of misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and unsafe movement.

The case has seen several continuances, and on Wednesday it was delayed again until April 24th.
