Kinston police say 39-year-old Telas Staten is charged with statutory sexual offense, indecent liberties with a child, and crimes against nature.
Staten is under $510,000 bond in the Lenoir County Jail.

Police say Staten worked for the Lenoir County Boys & Girls Club, and is a pastor at St. Matthews Church of Christ in New Bern.
