The City of Jacksonville says Doris Avenue, which was closed in part earlier due to an emergency sewer line repair, reopened Monday night. The city sent a press release at 8:22 p.m Monday.

The city says road repairs are not complete, but the street is passible for traffic. Cleanup of the street will resume Tuesday morning.

The City of Jacksonville says it will continue to monitor the wastewater that was inadvertently spilled from the broken wastewater pipe into a stormwater conflict box.

It is estimated that about 10,000 gallons of untreated wastewater collected into the wastewater line some of which discharged into Mill Creek.

The city says state officials were notified earlier about the action and the state’s protocols are being followed.
