One person was taken to the hospital after a rollover accident Saturday afternoon.
Jacksonville Police responded to the call at 2:39 p.m. where one person needed to be extricated from a vehicle. Police say the vehicle was traveling westbound on NC-24 when the vehicle rolled over, blocking the ramp going into Camp Lejeune.
The westbound lane was closed, slowing traffic for roughly 30 minutes. Since then, police say all lanes have been reopened.
The person extricated from the vehicle was transferred to Onslow Memorial Hospital. We do not know the condition or identity of the person at this time.
A public information officer with Camp Lejeune said he did not know if the person transported to the hospital is a Marine.
