One of the drivers in a three vehicle crash Tuesday night has died.
Jacksonville police say the accident happened on Highway 24 near the Bell Fork Road intersection.
Police say Jeromy Noce was airlifted to New Hanover Regional Medical Center where he died from the crash.
The 31-year-old Noce was driving a Kia van that was eastbound on Highway 24. Police say the van was traveling at a high rate of speed, drifted into another lane and struck a pickup truck that was slowing down for the red light. The pickup truck then hit a passenger vehicle that had already stopped.
The pickup driver, Clyde Long of Jacksonville, was airlifted to Vidant Medical Center where he has non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the passenger car wasn't injured.
Police say they are still investigating the accident.
