Jacksonville Businessman Accused Of Assaulting Police

A Jacksonville businessman is accused of assaulting police officers with a firearm early this morning.

Larry Rose is charged with assault on a law enforcement officer with a firearm and assault by pointing a gun.

Rose is one of the owners of Rose Brothers Furniture.

Police say they were called to Shoreline Drive about shots being heard. They say the 54-year-old Rose was pointing a .22 Magnum at the three officers who responded.

Rose's bond was set at $26,000.
