Hundreds Turn Out For Free Food In Jones County

With prices rising on just about everything, families are stretched thin these days and that means even putting food on the table can be tough.

As part of the food stamp program operated by the Jones County Department of Social Services, more than 280 families lined up for free food Thursday.

The Majority of the families and individuals are those who already have nutritional assistance from the county.

The food giveaway is held once every three months at the Jones County Civic Center.
