Tests could confirm as early as today whether remains found on a farm are that of a missing local man.
Skeletal remains were found Monday night in Nash County, in a field on Cummings Road, according to investigators at the Nash County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives said the remain are likely that of a missing Rocky Mount man, 35-year-old Michael Williamson.
Investigators said Williamson suffered from several medical conditions which likely caused his death.
Detectives do not suspect foul play.
