Head-on Collision With Log Truck Kills Two In Pender County

Two women are dead after a head-on collision with a log truck. The fatal crash happened on Highway 421 in Pender County yesterday.

The two victims were women from Sampson County, Debra Potter from Salemburg, and Juanita Potter from Clinton, that's according to our NBC affiliate in Wilmington, WECT.

Troopers say the driver of the car went off the side of the road, over-corrected, and drove into the path of the oncoming log truck.

Two others were taken to the hospital; their names and conditions are not known this morning.
