Officials in Havelock say part of McCotter Blvd will be closed to through traffic starting Tuesday.
Sewer repairs that had been scheduled to take place during December but were postponed were scheduled to get underway following the morning rush hour Monday. But traffic barriers and detour signs were not delivered in time so work will now begin on Tuesday.
The part of McCotter Blvd. closed down is between Forest Hill Drive and Tarheel Drive. A detour is set up for drivers using Webb Blvd.
According to city officials, "residents between Forest Hill Drive and Tarheel Drive on McCotter may experience some inconvenience during construction." The estimate work will take a week to complete.
