A private nonprofit formed to promote North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory's agenda is hosting a retreat that features policy briefings with the governor.
The News & Observer of Raleigh reports (http://bit.ly/14dYURp ) that the two-day event starts Thursday at the Grandover Resort outside Greensboro.
South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is expected to be among the more than 100 attendees. Haley campaigned with McCrory last year and is attending a reception, dinner and forum.
The retreat's agenda also includes a session on state policy issues with McCrory and other leaders.
The retreat is hosted by the Renew North Carolina Foundation, a group formed by McCrory allies shortly after his November election that recently rebranded itself.
Two tickets to the governors' dinner cost $1,000. Two passes to the entire retreat cost $10,000.
