Arr, mateys. Pirates of all ages get ready. The 7th Annual Pirate Fest is here and the fun begins in Greenville Friday night.
Pirate Fest is a large outdoor celebration offering fun, food, art and entertainment for all ages.
Festivities begin Friday with a live concert and the Buccaneer Bash from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town Common in Uptown Greenville, featuring music from The Castaways.
The celebration continues 10 a.m. Saturday along Evans Street from 5th to 1st Street, and on the Town Common.
The streets and riverbanks will be filled various activities including two live music stages, pirate entertainers, a "grog garden," a Parade of Pirates, a Children's Pirate Costume Contest, and a Pirate Encampment offering crafts, an inflatable pirate ship for children, and other activities.
Attendees can dress up as pirates if they'd like and walk in the Parade of Pirates, which kicks off 10:30 a.m. Saturday leaving from the Greenville Toyota Amphitheater.
Pirate Fest also features fine arts and crafts for sale, a variety of food and entertainment from around the world at the International Port O' Call, and free kayak rides.
Pirate Fest starts 5 p.m. Friday in Uptown Greenville at the Town Common.
