A Greenville woman is in jail, accused of abducting her two children and taking them to New Mexico.
Therese Garcia was arrested Monday night on two counts of felony abduction of children.
Deputies say two days before Christmas, Craig Colligan reported his two daughters, who are 15 and 12, had left with their mother. They say a valid custody visitation order in place gave custody of the kids to the father.
Garcia returned to Pitt County on Monday, bringing the children back on a bus and turned herself into Greenville police.
The woman was jailed on a $400,000 bond.
