A woman was sent to the hospital after Greenville police say someone shot into the car she was sitting in parked in a driveway Tuesday night.
It happened at 1611 Lincoln Drive in Greenville. Sergeant Dale Mills says 911 got the call just before 8:00 p.m. He says the vehicle sitting in the driveway took fire from several gunshots, and while the two passengers weren't hit by bullets, glass fragments injured one of them, sending the woman to Vidant Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Police are still investigating and have not announced any arrests yet.
The name of the woman injured was not released.
