Greenville Police Link Apartment Clubhouse Break-in To Employee

Greenville police have charged a Greene County man with breaking into the clubhouse of an apartment complex and stealing thousands of dollars.

Police say 33-year-old Darrell Bridges of Walstonburg stole $4,000 in cash and $2,000 in Visa gift cards from the University Suites apartment complex in Greenville on December 26. During the police investigation, detectives determined Bridges was embezzling money from the business for several months. In addition to the break and entering charges Bridges faces, he's also charged with seven counts each of larceny by employee and obtaining property by false pretense.

Bridges was jailed under a $20,000 bond.
