Police say a validated member of the Crips was shot Tuesday night in Greenville, and he continues not to cooperate with authorities.

Marlon McMillian, Jr. was wounded in the leg, and has since been treated and released from Vidant Medical Center.

Police say McMillian was shot in the front yard of his home on Riggs Lane. He drove himself to the hospital.

An argument apparently preceded the shooting, according to police.

McMillian spent more than two and a half years in prison for armed robbery in Pitt County and was released in 2010. He was also convicted in 2006 of larceny and communicating threats.
