Greenville Man Charged With Opening Fire On Occupied Building

A man is behind bars after Greenville Police say he opened fire on an occupied building.

Officials say that officers responded to 2600 Meridian Drive for a report of shots fired into a building just after 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Police say that they arrested 23-year-old Gregory Spencer of Lindsay Drive for the crime.

Online records show that Spencer has been charged with discharging a weapon into occupied property, possession of a stolen firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, resisting a public officer, going armed to the terror of the people, discharging a firearm in the city, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Spencer is being held on a $400,000 secured bond.
