A local man accused of picking up his mother's Oxycodone prescription to use for himself was arrested.
The Pitt County Sheriff's Office said 31-year-old Charles Caulk changed the dates on a prescription so he could get it filled earlier than it should have been.
Investigators found Caulk had picked up the prescription for his mother from a care facility and altered it, before taking it to a local pharmacy.
Caulk was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud or forgery.
