An after school center that strives to help kids improve their lives got a helping hand of their own on Wednesday.
About 30 U.S. Cellular employees volunteered their time to get the Building Hope Community Life Center in Greenville ready for a new school year. Building Hope provides academic support and other services to at-risk youth.
Volunteers, staff and kids who attend the center landscaped, painted and did some cleaning.
Staff members say it's a huge help and a great example for the kids.
U.S. Cellular also donated three iPads and new tools for the children to use in the center's bike shop.
