16-Foot Great White Shark Being Tracked Along NC Coast

A shark-tracking agency is keeping tabs on a great white shark that has been spending some quality time along our coast.

The shark, named Mary Lee, is a 16-foot, 3,400-pound Great White shark that was tagged off the coast of Cape Cod in September. Then she went south, and started moving back north.

The shark's last pings were off the coast of Southport, off the coast of Brunswick County.

The shark-tracking agency is a non-profit organization called OCEARCH.
