Governor Bev Perdue has joined President Barack Obama by ordering U.S. and North Carolina flags be lowered to half staff in tribute to the victims of the Connecticut shootings.
Flags at the white house and U.S. Capitol building were brought to half-staff just after t3:00 p.m. Friday. U.S. flags at federal buildings and public grounds will be flown at half staff through Tuesday, December 18th at sunset.
