K-9's are an important part of any law enforcement agency and now several little K-9's will ride along with every officer in Greenville.
The Greenville Police Department's newest K-9 is Max the Malinois.
Max is a stuffed animal with a very important mission.
GPD says these little pups can help soothe a child caught up in a traumatic situation. The stuffed animals will be given to them to keep.
Max has his own little badge and wears a protective vest like the real dogs, and will ride along with officers who respond to calls in the city.
Malinois are the typical breed of dogs on the K-9 team, so Max is a fitting mascot.
