Four High School Students Facing Drug Charges After Searches

Four high school students are facing drug charges after deputies conducted a search of two Beaufort County schools this week.

Three students at the Beaufort County Ed Tech School in Washington were arrested Wednesday. Deputies say a drug dog alerted on three vehicles in the student parking lot. Inside they found marijuana, drug paraphernalia and prescription pills.

Apprentice Wilkins, 18, is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, Bryan Dixon, 19, is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, while Ryan Crawford, 18, is facing charges of possession of marijuana, possession of schedule IV controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The same day they searched Southside High School and the same dog alerted on a vehicle in that student lot. Darin Tatum, Jr., 17, has been charged with possession of marijuana.

All four students had their bond set at $500 each. To view their mug shots, click on the image above.
