A former Mount Olive minister today admitted he had thousands of child porn images on his computer devices.
Timothy Strickland, who had been the pastor of Jones Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, pleaded guilty in Raleigh before a federal judge.
Federal authorities say in March 2013, an FBI task force officer was engaged in a chat with Strickland. During the chat, the agent saw that the man's directory had child porn files.
A later search of the man's East James Street home netted agents approximately 11,000 child porn images. Original arrest warrants said the victims were between 4 and 10 years old.
Strickland faces up to 20 years in federal prison when he is sentenced August 18th.
