A former Kinston city councilman arrested last month for felony child exploitation charges had his case continued Monday.
Will Barker faces ten counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The SBI arrested Barker after conducting an investigation requested by Fremont police led to the discovery of child pornography in his possession.
Barker is currently out on bond. His case has been continued until March 11th.

Online jail records show Will Barker posted bond to be released from the jail in Lenoir County. On Monday, a judge lowered his bond from $300,000 to $105,000.

Will Barker, who was mayor pro tem when he left office a year ago, was arrested Thursday night by the SBI. He's been charged with ten counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
The SBI says it began their investigation November 26th at the request of Fremont police.
Fremont Chief P.E. Moats tells WITN News that they found a computer thumb drive at town hall. In an attempt to find the owner, he put the drive into a computer and found what he called inappropriate images of underage children.
Barker is a certified public accountant, and the chief says he was conducting a financial audit of the town. Because of a possible conflict of interest with the town, Moats asked the SBI to investigate.
Court records say the pornographic images were of children between the ages of 8 and 14 years old. The SBI searched the man's office and home, where they seized two laptops and one desktop computer.
Barker was originally jailed on a $300,000 bond. On Monday a judge lowered his bond to $105,000.

The warrant says there was a visual representation of a minor involved. Third degree sexual exploitation of a minor is defined when a person "possesses material that contains a visual presentation of a minor engaging in sexual activity."
Barker, who is a certified public accountant, served on council from 2007 until last December. Toward the end of his term Barker was mayor pro tem.
City Manager Tony Sears says they were notified by the SBI of the arrest. "We are surprised to learn of the situation today," Sears said in a statement. "Mr. Barker served the City of Kinston well during his tenure and our thoughts go out to all those affected."
His bond was set at $300,000 and records show the 44-year-old man was still in jail.
