Fire crews in Kill Devil Hills have been on the scene of a huge fire that has destroyed an oceanfront condo complex.
The 7 C's complex is near East Landing Drive and Virginia Dare Trail in Kill Devil Hills.
The Kill Devil Hills Fire Department tells WITN Three people were inside the complex at the time of the fire around 6:45 p.m. and were able to escape.
Firefighters have been working to save surrounding oceanfront homes.
Fire departments on scene include Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Colington, Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, U.S. Forestry Service. KDH police and Dare County Sheriff's Department were manning roads and directing traffic.
