Family Left Without A Home Following Pitt County Fire

Several emergency responders were dispatched to a fire early Saturday evening in the east.

Pitt County Communications says that Belvoir Fire and Falkland Fire & EMS responded to a structure fire around 5:15 p.m. at the 2300 Block of Joshua Court.

Communications says the home is a total loss.

The American Red Cross says that is assisting two adults and one child with groceries and clothing.

It's not clear at this time what caused the fire.
