A tragic and bizarre story developing out of Fayetteville after a man is kidnapped from a convenience store parking lot and later shot and killed as he tried to run away from his captors.
Hours later, Police say someone showed up at the convenience store demanding surveillance video. Killed was twenty-seven year old Errol Williams of Rockingham.
Officials say that Williams was kidnapped, and robbed from the parking lot of the Kangaroo convenience store on Bragg Boulevard by three men operating a gray KIA Sportatge. During the kidnapping and robbery, two men got into the victims vehicle and forced him to drive to an area of Gregory Street.
Police say Williams tried to run from the men and that's when he was gunned down. Police have not announced a link between the two crimes.
