The woman who survived a fatal wreck this weekend is improving, according to hospital officials.
Vidant Medical Center officials tell WITN Deb Parker is now listed in good condition. After a Saturday afternoon wreck, officials said she was in fair condition.
Troopers in Carteret County said a few minutes before 3 p.m. on Saturday, 55-year-old Bruce Hill of Smyrna was behind the wheel when he crossed the center line along Highway 70 near Beaufort. The vehicle ended up in a nearby ditch.
Investigators said Hill was killed in the wreck but his passenger, Parker, survived.
Troopers are still working to determine the cause of the wreck.

Highway Patrol says it happened about 9 miles east of Beaufort on Highway 70 just before 3:00 p.m.
