FIRST ON WITN: Police Investigate 2nd Greenville Armed Robbery

Greenville police are investigating their second armed robbery of the day, this one at a Hispanic store.

La Guerrerense Tienda Mexicana was held up around 8:45 a.m. The store is on North Greene Street.

Owner Abel Correa says two men came into the store, one armed with a handgun, and demanded money from him. One robber was 6'0" tall with a slender build while the other was 5'6" to 5'8" tall with a stocky build.

Correa says the two men spoke in Spanish and he believes they may be from Central America.

Around 3:00 a.m. a man says he was assaulted and robbed by two gunmen on East 5th Street, near the ECU chancellor's residence.

In that case the robbers took the man's wallet and cell phone.
