The Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office says that a fatal shooting suspect has turned himself in.
Sheriff James Knight says that 30-year-old Maurice Moore turned himself in around 4:27 Sunday afternoon.
Officials believe Moore is responsible for the shooting death of 29-year-old James Bockington, Jr. Investigators say that Moore and Bockington had gotten into an argument over an unidentified female before Bockington was shot.
Moore has been charged with 2nd degree murder and is being held in the Edgecombe County Detention Center under no bond.
A Sheriff in the east says that an overnight shooting following an argument over a female leaves one male dead.
Edgecombe County Sheriff James Knight says that they got the call around 1:39 a.m. Sunday regarding a shooting on Port Court in Country Estates Trailer Park. Once on scene, deputies found the victim inside one of the homes. He was taken to Vidant Edgecombe Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators say that the victim got into an argument with the suspect, 30-year-old Maurice Moore, of lot 106 at the same trailer park.
Officials have not released the name nor the age of the male that was killed.
