A Pitt County man is dead following a single vehicle accident in Craven County.
Highway Patrol says that 31-year-old Denolen Pugh of Ayden died after he lost control of his GMC Yukon and crashed into a tree.
Pugh was said to have been traveling north on River Road near State Camp Road outside of Vanceboro, when he went off the right side of the road, over corrected, went off the left side of the road and overturned into the tree.
Troopers say that neither speed, nor alcohol were a factor in the accident that happened just after 6:00 p.m.
Craven County dispatch says that EMS and Highway Patrol are at the scene of a single vehicle wreck in Vanceboro.
Communications officials said that they received a call of an accident with injuries around 6:07 Saturday evening on River Road near Rainbow Lake Road.
