Finals start Thursday for East Carolina University students, and they have the chance to relieve stress with the aid of some furry friends.

Starting Thursday, Students will get the chance to hang out with pet therapy cats and dogs to alleviate exam stress, courtesy of their campus library.

Joyner Library is offering the therapy sessions from Thursday through Tuesday.

In the pet therapy sessions, ECU outreach librarians team with Pet Partners to provide trained animals and handlers who visit campus to interact with students.

Pet therapy sessions are scheduled for 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, and 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
