Driver Facing Charges After Highway 11 Accident


The driver of a vehicle that troopers say pulled out in front of another driver will face charges.

The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. on Highway 11 at Hills Crossroads in southern Lenoir County.

Troopers say one vehicle was pulling across the four-lane highway from Davis Mill Road when it collided with a southbound car on 11.

Troopers say both drivers were taken to Lenoir Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, while the one driver will be charged with failure to yield the right of way.

Highway 11 southbound was shut down for more than an hour because of the crash.
