A driver has been charged after the Highway Patrol says his van crashed into a Greene County house where someone was inside.
It happened at the intersection of Highway 13 and Burrell Field Road in Greene County. Troopers say just before 5:00 p.m. Thursday, Christopher Brownell crashed the Coastal Beverage Company work van he was driving into the house. They say he got distracted and went off the road to avoid hitting an 18-wheeler when he hit the house. He's charged with reckless driving.
Neither Brownell or the person inside the house were injured. However, a building inspector says there's $20,000 in damage to the house and has condemned it for repairs.
