Two Brothers, Cousin & 4th Man Arrested For Kinston Murder

Two Brothers, Cousin & 4th Man Arrested For Kinston Murder

NEW INFO: Kinston Murder Under Investigation

Two brothers, a cousin and another man have been charged in Kinston's only homicide of 2012.

Police arrested the four Friday for the December 26th shooting death of Dajuquon Poole and the attempted murder of Tiran Farris.

The four are 21-year-old William Wilson, 27-year-old Joseph Wilson, 32-year-old Elwood Gray and 23-year-old Justin Wilson, all of Kinston. They are in the Lenoir County jail under no bond.

Police say Justin and Joseph Wilson are brothers, while William Wilson is their first cousin.

Poole and the 28-year-old Farris were shot in front of 918 E. King Street.

Commander Jennifer Canady says the murder of Poole is not related to the man being shot a month before outside a Kinston nightclub.

Canady says they are still investigating a motive in the shootings and more arrests are possible.

Previous Story

A teenager from Kinston is dead, while another shooting victim is in the hospital.

The Kinston Department of Public Safety says 19-year-old Dajuquon "DJ" Poole was pronounced dead at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville after he was shot on the 900 block of East King St. in Kinston Wednesday. Police were called there for a fight at 3:42 p.m.

Just last month the teen survived a stabbing at a Kinston nightclub. Police say Poole was stabbed in his abdomen, while another man was stabbed in his chest and arm.

In Wednesday's shooting, Poole was one of two Kinston men officers found had been shot in front of 918 E. King St. The other man, 28-year-old Tiran Farris, is listed in stable condition at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Authorities say both men were originally taken to Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston before getting transported to Greenville's trauma center.

The Kinston Department of Public Safety says both men were shot in the upper body.

No arrests have been reported, and no suspects have been named.

Court records show Poole had a pending court date for felony possession of controlled substances and he served six months in prison earlier this year for possessing stolen goods and possessing a firearm by a felon.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Kinston Police "Tips Line" at (252) 939-4020 or Commander Jennifer Canady (252) 939-3225.
