Lawmen Looking If Internet Cafe Robberies Are Connected

Authorities are investigating whether a rash of recent Internet cafe robberies in Eastern Carolina are all related.

The latest happened Saturday night in Lenoir County at Jackson Heights Sweepstakes on Highway 11. There have also been robberies at locations in Martin, Lenoir, Onslow and Pitt counties. One location in Greenville has been robbed twice.

Pitt County deputies said today they will partner with other Sheriff's Offices and hope to meet next week to see if the cases are related.

Greenville police today released surveillance photos from their latest hold-up that happened last Thursday at Sweepstakes VIP Internet Cafe.

Anyone who can identify the men in the photo should contact Pitt-Greenville CrimeStoppers, at 252-758-7777. CrimeStoppers will pay a reward for information that leads to an arrest in this and other similar cases.
