DOT Will Widen A Local Highway

The North Carolina Department of Transportation announced on Friday that a Wilson company was awarded the multi-million dollar contract for work on Highway 30 in Pitt County.

The NCDOT said the $3.3 Million contract to widen N.C. 30 in Pitt County went to S.T. Wooten Corp. of Wilson. The work includes road widening and resurfacing approximately15 miles of N.C. 30 in Bethel. A stretch that runs from N.C. 11 to U.S. 264.

Crews can begin work on March 15th. The project is slated to be completed by November 1st.
