DEPUTIES: Man Stabbed In Grocery Parking Lot After Argument Over Alcohol

Deputies say an argument over alcohol led to a stabbing that sent one man to the hospital with minor injuries.

It happened Thursday night around 8:30 in the parking lot of Information Grocery, just outside of Littleton.

The Halifax County Sheriff's Office says Jerrell Brown of Littleton assaulted the victim with a pocket knife. The 23-year-old Brown has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon. He was placed in the Halifax County Detention Center under a $1,500 secured bond.

As for the victim, deputies say he was transported to the hospital where he was treated and released with minor injuries.
