Deputies say woman posed as a school system employee to buy 30 computers and now she's under arrest.

Jones County deputies say back in late November they received information that some 30 Apple computers had been fraudulently ordered and then billed to the county's school system.

Loraine Spence of Wyse Fork Road was charged with felony possession of stolen goods and may face additional charges in Lenoir County.

Deputies were lead to the woman's home and discovered 14 computers. While there, UPS arrived with 16 additional computers.

Sheriff Danny Heath says they learned the computers were eventually destined for Ghana, located in West Africa. Investigators say Spence is accused of picking up some of the computers at the UPS in Lenoir County, where they say she passed herself off as an agent for Jones County Schools.

The 57-year-old woman's bond was set at $10,000.
