Deputies have arrested a man after they say he threw a woman on the floor and pointed a shotgun at her.
Rudy Avila was arrested by Pamlico County deputies for two counts of assault by pointing a gun, assault on a female and injury to personal property.
Deputies say the man assaulted the woman, and then pointed a double barreled shotgun at her as well as a juvenile in the home. The weapon with a fired round was found in the home as well as other rounds for the weapon.
Avila was jailed on a $20,000 bond.
