Craven County Woman Charged With $500,000+ Fraud Scheme

Tamrin Bowers was in Craven County court for her first appearance Monday morning. She is charged with 12 counts of obtaining property under false pretense.

Officials say over the course of 3 to 4 years Bowers defrauded people out of about $600,000 by telling them she was the administrator of her late parents' estate, and she would give them about a million dollars or more when the estate settled.

Bowers is in custody under a $250,000 bond. Her next court date is set for February 27th.
