A husband and wife in Craven County who operate an auto repair shop face 150 charges involving the theft and sale of vehicles.
The Bridgeton Police Department says it has been investigating Juan Nieto and Iveth Serrato for the past several months following complaints from people who bought vehicles from them that they were unable to obtain titles or register the vehicles. The two were arrested Friday.
The charges include acting as a car dealer without being licensed by the state. Police also charged Wallace Barnett with a notary violation. Police say more arrests are likely.
