Cool With A Chance For Rain By Late Tuesday Across Eastern Carolina

A major storm system will move eastward and into the Middle Atlantic States late Tuesday into Wednesday. The storm will bring rain to eastern Carolina by Tuesday evening. The rain is not expected to be heavy in most locations. Around one-quarter to one-half inch of rain is expected, with the heaviest rainfall along and near the Virginia border. The same storm will bring heavy snow across northern Virginia, Maryland and northeast into portions of New England. The rain will end across our area by Wednesday evening followed by sunshine and cool temperatures at the end of the week. Highs on Tuesday will reach the upper 50s with upper 40s for Wednesday afternoon.
