Comment Period Extended On Possible Off-Road Vehicle Use At Cape Lookout

There's still time to have your voice heard in the debate over vehicle access on some North Carolina beaches.

The National Park Service is trying to decide whether or not to allow off road vehicles to drive on beaches at Cape Lookout National Seashore.

The park service has extended the public comment period by 45 days to September 4th.

If vehicle use is allowed, the park service plan will address how to manage that use within the seashore's rules and regulations to protect the local environment and its wildlife.
